We are excited to announce that the East Africa Cyber & AI Summit has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Addis Ababa Science and Technology University (AASTU), marking a significant milestone in our journey toward building Africa's digital future.
This partnership brings together the Summit organizers and one of Ethiopia's leading technology universities around a shared commitment to cybersecurity resilience, responsible AI, digital innovation, and youth empowerment. AASTU will serve as a key academic partner and venue host for the Summit, creating an ideal environment where students, researchers, and professionals can engage directly with the continent's most pressing digital challenges.
Under this collaboration, AASTU will actively support the Summit through participation of its students, faculty, and researchers in workshops, panel discussions, Hackathons, and Capture The Flag (CTF) cybersecurity competitions. The partnership also lays the groundwork for ongoing knowledge sharing, research collaboration, and digital skills development well beyond the event itself.
The East Africa Cyber & AI Summit aims to bring together governments, universities, technology companies, cybersecurity professionals, startups, and innovators from across Africa and beyond. Hosting the Summit at AASTU reinforces our belief that academia sits at the heart of Africa's digital transformation, and we could not be more proud to have them as a founding institutional partner.
